Before beginning my career in hospitality, I spent several years in the electrical trade working toward my certification. Although I ultimately chose a different path, the experience gave me a practical approach to problem-solving and taught me to work carefully and methodically.
I went on to spend more than a decade working in five-star hotels, resorts and restaurants, where high standards, careful presentation and noticing what others might miss were simply part of the job.
